Arkema is proud to announce that the certification according to the ISO 14067:2018 standard of its product carbon footprint (PCF) calculation methodology has been renewed and extended to Together for Sustainability - Guideline version 3.0 - December 2024 by TÜV Rheinland.

The TÜV Rheinland certification confirms that the PCF methodology used for calculating individual PCF shared with customers is robust and in accordance with the ISO 14067:2018 standard and now with Together for Sustainability - The Product Carbon Footprint Guideline for the Chemical Industry, version 3.0 - December 2024.

The calculation scope is “cradle to gate”. The calculation is notably based on Arkema’s internal site-specific data, primary raw material data received from suppliers as well as external secondary databases. Both manual and automated calculations accessible through ARKEMA proprietary digital tool are covered. The extension of the certification to the compliance to TfS guidelines ensures full alignment of Arkema with its peers within the chemical and material science sectors. It also strengthens Arkema’s commitments towards full transparency regarding its carbon footprint assessment methodologies.
