A comprehensive range of coating solutions for flooring and waterproofing, combining low-VOC waterborne resins and high-reactivity liquid-applied systems to ensure durable, reliable protection across modern construction applications.
Waterborne coating
Arkema’s high-performance waterborne resins for flooring and waterproofing include pure acrylics, styrene-acrylics, and hybrids, delivering excellent water resistance, adhesion, flexibility, and durability. Designed for concrete coatings, sealers, tile adhesives, and patching compounds, these resins offer long-lasting protection, low VOC content, and full compatibility with modern construction substrates.
Liquid-applied reactive systems
The Sartomer® portfolio of (meth)acrylic monomers, oligomers, and crosslinkers provides formulators with the flexibility to design high-performance flooring and waterproofing systems. Ideal for MMA and 2K epoxy/amine liquid-applied coatings, these solutions deliver fast return-to-service, low VOC, low odor, and enhanced durability. Sartomer® materials enable key properties for building applications, including barrier performance, high reactivity, flexibility, toughness, and gloss retention, ensuring long-lasting, reliable, and high-performance surfaces.
Our wide range of waterborne dispersions and solutions is built on thermoplastic, self-crosslinking and thermosetting polymers, for nonwovens consolidation and finishing processes. Products made from our binders offer excellent mechanical properties and processability in a wide range of applications, including fiberglass.
Consolidation benefits
For consolidation processes, these binders provide a strong combination of dry and wet mechanical properties, ensuring reliable fiber bonding and long‑term durability. They enable a soft to medium handle while covering a broad spectrum of polymers ranging from highly hydrophobic to more hydrophilic profiles, depending on end‑use needs. These solutions contribute to enhanced thermo‑dimensional stability and offer an optimized balance between tensile strength and resiliency, supporting both product performance and processing efficiency.
Finishing benefits
In finishing applications, waterborne polymer technologies are designed to refine surface properties without compromising mechanical performance. They allow manufacturers to achieve a soft to medium handle, combined with a controlled balance between polymer stiffness and heat scalability. With options spanning from hydrophobic to hydrophilic, these solutions also deliver alkali and chemical resistance, helping finished nonwovens maintain durability under demanding conditions. The result is a balanced combination of flexibility, strength and resistance, tailored to the specific requirements of each application.
